What are your favorite fruit(s) and vegetable(s) to eat and why? what about your least favorites?

Just curious what types of fruits and vegetables people enjoy eating. Note that tomatoes and avocadoes (and I guess cucumbers as well, because they have seeds?) are fruits as well, even though we might tend to consider them as vegetables because they are neither sweet/sour as fruits generally are.





As for myself, I try to enjoy most fruits and vegetables but my favorites include (in no particular order):





fruit: banana, apple, mango, avocado, tomato (the latter two for guacamole!)


vegetable: enjoy most vegetables but prefer the more nutritious ones (e.g. greens, carrots, etc)





least favorite


fruits: grapefruit...its all right but has a bitter after-taste


vegetables: bitter gourd...umm...I prefer it when fried and chopped up into small pieces





The fruits which I listed as favorites were there because I like the way they taste and they're fairly easy to prepare before eating. I especially like the sweetness of bananas and the cleansing healthy feeling after eating an apple.

What are your favorite fruit(s) and vegetable(s) to eat and why? what about your least favorites?
fav. veggie: spinach...because it can be prep'd many ways and it always makes me feel healthy (and it's delicious, of course)





fav. fruit: pineapple...when they're ripe and in season, I can eat mountains of them!





least fav. veggie: brussel sprouts. even though they're tolerable as an adult, I'll never get the smell/taste out of my mind of when I was a child and was forced to eat them. I can still remember what overcooked brussel spouts and milk taste like together, because that's what I washed them down with. Yuck!





least fav. fruit: bananas. to me, fruit should be juicy and refreshing. Bananas are too heavy and "creamy."

My favourite vege would be leeks.


Can't offer a reason, they just are my favourites.





Least favourites would poor quality foods that are not fresh.


Don't think I can point the finger at either Vege or Fruit I don't like
Reply:I love zuchini, brocoli, green beans, corn, spinach, they just taste good to me, and for fruits I love strawberries, oranges, grapes, watermelon, canteloupe. I can't stand brussel sprouts, cabbage, artichokes and asparagus

I also like Avocados, but I'm not sure if it is a fruit or a vegetable :)
Reply:I love all fruits and veg, but my favorite fruit would have to be carambolo (star fruit) and fresh pineapple, favorite veg is kolrabi or sunchokes-love that raw crunch!

Reply:Fave fruit: oranges, cherries, bananas, watermelon (all are very refreshing and filling to me)


Least fave fruit: cantelope (has a starchy taste to me)





Fave veggies: potato, cabbage, corn, sweet potato, turnip greens (all can be cooked in so many different delicious ways)


Least fave veggies: okra (too "blah" and hasn't any flavor to me"
