Reply:Hamsters enjoy most fruits and vegetables, depending on their individual tastes. Some good choices are: dandelion greens, grass, clover, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, oranges, apples, grapes, pear, berries, raisins, carrots, and corn.

There are two important things to remember about giving your hamster fresh produce. First, be sure to remove any uneaten food before it spoils. Secondly, give these foods in moderation, because if a hamster eats too much at once, it could get diarrhea. They can pretty much eat all the veggies we can eat.

Watch out for these foods though: Oranges, or other citric fruits

Onions, it hurts their digestive systems

Potatoes. Some people say you shouldn't feed them potatoes, some say it's fine. Better to stay away from it.

House plant leaves. Hope it helps!
Reply:The only rule to remember with feeding a hamster fruit and veg is to only give a little at a time and introduce slowly as it can cause an upset belly. Citrus fruit such as oranges are poisonous to hamsters, so are tomatoes. Cucmber and lettuce should only be given in small ammounts as the high water content may result in runny poops!!

I feed my hamster sweetcorn, peas, mushrooms (shop brought, not wild!!) brocolli, cucumber, lettuce, carrots, bananas, apples, grapes, pears. He loves everything. You can also buy bags of dried fruit or veg to add to your hamsters normal hamster mix.
