Fresh Fruit?

Ok, I eat alot of fruit, just none of it is fresh. I eat applesauce, fruit leather and orange juice everyday and my question is, are these just as good as fresh fruit?

Fresh Fruit?
get the ones without added sugar. Most applesauce also has sugar, but not all. The same with the others.
Reply:Even if you make sure to get only "no sugar added" brands, you are probably missing out on some nutrients that are destroyed by heat and also a lot of the fiber. Why not try a piece or two of fresh?
Reply:no , they add things in them such as sugar
Reply:Nope, no where near it in fact. For optimum nutrition from fruit, eat the real deal.

Locally produced and in season are best as they will have had little to notime spent in travel (if locally grown) and will be freshest, if in season.

For me I would prefer fresh over any of the d ried or leathered variety as I just love the taste of fresh fruit.
Reply:no they are not just as good, especially if it's not natural, and ESPECIALLY if any of the ingredients include high fructose corn syrup, you may as well have strbursts, also you wont get anywhere near the fiber that you would get from the fruit itself, or the nutrients because most it has been stripped away, but don't get me wrong, if those things you're eating are all natural, they are a much better alternative to snacks and drinks such as soda, chips, candy......
Reply:No, because there is sugar added.
Reply:farmers market is the freshest.
Reply:no because they aren't natural

they have artificial sweeteners
Reply:No. They have added sugars and preservatives. If you're wanting fruit, grabbing fresh beats everything. You can even freeze fresh for smoothies. Besides, so many fruits are portable, there really isn't a reason to eat anything besides cranberries/raisins, or dried fruit in trail mix, but as for "fruit leather" I don't know what the heck that is, and wouldn't eat anything with leather in the title.
