Sounds like the tree is not getting enough water to support its crop. Improve drainage and give additional top up of water regularly direct to the root if you can.
Reply:Make sure you give it fertilizer nutrients in the fall of the year and it should bear cherrys better! Put the fertilizer around the tree and water it good afterwards.
Reply:Do you have a lot of trees? Maybe that is why because the fruit tree has to compete for nutrients and light if you have a lot of trees around it.
Reply:I agree with my friend on the top. If you have to much trees around it could be that or it could be that your tree doesn't have enough rich soil so what you could do is go to Home Depot and buy some fertilizer and mix it with the soil around the tree and water it every night and you are going to get good results.
