How to pick fruit?

i love eating fruit and fruit salads and i was just wondering if anybody had tips on how to pick fruit- any type of fruit. thank!

How to pick fruit?
I eat a ton of fruit so I'll share what I do

Apples - hard firm and shiny

Oranges, heavy for their size, bright orange skins, firm and good smelling.

Pears - hard heavy and firm

Berries - Look for non-bruised fruit

Melons - they thump when they are perfect, flick near the stem.

I try and buy locally when I can as well. The fruit tends to taste a little better since it's fresher.

Hope that helps.

for each fruit selection tips
Reply:When chosing fruits at the market, check for firmness. Some fruits you want more firm than others. Apples should be firm, melons you can tell if they are ready to eat by the smell of them, bananas you don't want when they start to bruise, grapes you want firm and not mushy.... it all depends on the fruit you are buying and how soon you will be using it.
Reply:Grab it and pull it off the tree/bush.

Wash it, cut it, and eat it!!!
Reply:depends on the fruit
