If it's not a fruit allergy, what is it?

For the last 8 months or so, when i eat some fruits my throat feels quite itchy. It goes away after a while and it's not very serious but i was just wondering what it is. I dont think it's serious enough to be a fruit allergy...?

I have this condition when i have fruits such as: rockmelon, watermelon, etc.. Can anyone please tell me what's going on? It's fine if I have a bit of these fruits but after a certain amount my throat feels funny and itchy....

Fruits like strawberries, peaches, blueberries and bananas etc are fine so i eat heaps of them :)

Does anyone know what this is, what's going on? Thanks everyone :)

I think it is an allergy, but very mild. Many people have mild allergies to specific fruits and have the same itchiness/feeling in their throat as well as their lips. This would explain why the itchiness occurs only with specific fruits and why it happens after you have eaten a certain amount.
Reply:it may a fruit intolerance or a very very mild alergie to certain fruits or to wateva is in those certain fruits, there are tests u can get from ur doctor to find out
Reply:sounds like you are allergic to melons...a lot of people are allergic to berries.
Reply:Maybe you're just eating too much friut...
Reply:It is probably just a mild allergy
Reply:You might want to go to the doctor just to make sure you're not allergic.
