Is dried fruit comparable to fresh fruits??

I am on weight watchers and I really am trying to eat a lot more fruits and veggies, I was wondering if dried fruits are a good idea and I also want some ideas for some dried fruit mixed with something for a snack. Thanks

Is dried fruit comparable to fresh fruits??
No I love dried fruits and had to give them up, I'm on a diet also. They are higher in sugar then fresh
Reply:i would stick to fresh fruit. maybe go to a farmers market in your area, or if you can't get it there than try organic fruit. it don't have any kind of chemicals in or on it and has been said it to be healthier for you.
Reply:well im not sure about the first question but i have an idea with the second....you could make trail mix with small pretzels dried fruit and different kinds of nuts...
Reply:Dried fruit is usually higher in fiber, but also higher in sugar. Having said that, however, I'm not on WW but I'm changing my eating habits and dried fruit is one of the things I eat on a regular basis (1 or 2 servings a day).
Reply:???

comparable - - what is that?

Are you worried about nutritional value??

are you thinking _?_ like a trail mix??

reconstituting dried,, compared to fresh..??

I have always considered the fresh fruit passes the digestive faster than most giving "you' a soft stool..

but there is little difference.

where did these folks come up with dried has more sugar??

dehydrating does not ADD sugar.!!!!

you evaporate the water NOTHING else changes.

where has logic gone..??
