What is the name of jack fruit tree on which apple sized jack fruits grow ?

There is a tree very common in Kerala, a southern state in India, which grows tall like 30-40 feets and 50" - 100" in width.

The fruit is just the size of an apple or twice it's size.

The fruit has internal structure of flesh and seed exactly similar to a jack fruit. The fruits outer shell even has thorns same as Jack fruit. Can anyone tell me the English name of this tree and fruit ? Here, even in English official documents kept by government, the name used is the Native language malayalam name - "Aanjili"

What is the name of jack fruit tree on which apple sized jack fruits grow ?
Artocarpus hirsutus - Angily, Angelin, Hirsute Artocarpus

The above name I got from Wikipedia

In the govt. records it is recorded as 'Angily'

Artocarpus hirsutus is the botanical name

Many of the Artocarpus plants are either known as Bread fruit or Jack fruit . Hence the confusion.

Reply:In English it is called " Bread Fruit " , it belongs to the Family of Artocarpus heterophyllus. Actual the name " Jack " itself is originated from Malayalam " Chakka ", during 16 th Century.
