Do you think the star fruit could be the fruit that was on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?

I read a thing on them and it said the origin of this fruit in unknown(same as the Garden of Eden) and it said that the fruit not only is pleasing to the tongue but also to the eye(for me at least it is the ONLY fruit that is pleasing to my eyes) and in the Bible it says, "When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food AND PLEASING TO THE EYE.....". also the flavor of them are a mixture of many flavors of fruit unlike any other fruit.

Do you think the star fruit could be the fruit that was on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?
Hmmm.... honestly I have no idea, but that is a very interesting observation-definitely makes me wonder.
Reply:haha it mightve been i vote pomegranet.
Reply:i thought the fruit from the tree of knowledge was an apple. i could be wrong though. i wish i had some star fruit though, they are awesome.
Reply:I think it was the quince. Have you smelled a quince? They do taste a lot like an apple only spicy.
Reply:The story is fiction.
Reply:Kool...

Are you offering this as a proof that the Bible is valid and that God is real? If so, how? There are plenty of things mentioned in the bible that are know today... animals, places, etc., but their being does not contribute one way or another to the farfetched claims made by the Bible, do they?

Don't get carried away by this simple discovery... The sun and the moon are still nothing more than the sun and the moon. Isn't that so?

Reply:Doubt it. Do you think sinful thoughts when eating a star fruit? Yeah, I don't either. Not saying that the bible is wrong, but I believe the whole garden of eden, tree of knowledge, was more metaphorical. I don't think any of those fruits actually exist. And even if there actually was a garden of eden, I doubt some of the fruits escaped. If we can't see the garden, we can't see the fruit.
Reply:Personally, I think that's just a story. I preceive the bible as stories that teach lessons. Symbolism.

Noah's Ark?

Feeding a crowd with a loaf of bread and a fish?

The bible isn't literal.

MY OPINION anyway.
Reply:Are we sure "the fruit" is in fact eatable? Could it refer to something Else?
Reply:No, the message itself was symbolic....but there is a description in the book of enoch. Also in the Talmud it says was like a fir tree and the fruit was like Tamarind or Grapes.

Book of enoch

That tree is in height like the fir, and its leaves are⌉ like (those of) the Carob tree: and its fruit is like the clusters of the vine, very beautiful: and the fragrance of the tree penetrates afar. 5. Then I said: 'How beautiful is the tree, and how attractive is its look!' 6. Then Raphael the holy angel, who was with me, answered me and said 'This is the tree of wisdom, of which thy father old (in years) and thy aged mother, who were before thee, have eaten, and they learnt wisdom and their eyes were opened, and they knew that they were naked and they were driven out of the garden.'

The book of Enoch is not in the bible.
Reply:I don't make a habit of trying to explain the nature of funny phenomenon found in fairy tales.
Reply:No way, it's to exotic
