Reply:Have you ever tried grilling fruit? It tastes so good and you can add pudding, whip cream, sweet glazes, and ice gream. I'll give you my fave recipe.

Grilled Peaces and Pears w/ cherry sauce

For the sauce:

2 pounds dark Northwest cherries, pitted (about 2 cups)

2 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 cup dry red wine

2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

2 teaspoon kirsch (cherry liqueur)

For the Fruit

4 medium peaches

4 medium pears

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 tablespoons brown sugar, packed

2 cups vanilla ice cream

8 cookies (I use ginger snaps)

To Make the Cherry Sauce: In a sauté pan over medium to high heat, combine the pitted cherries, sugar, red wine, and balsamic vinegar. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the fruit is soft, 6 to 8 minutes.

Transfer the mixture to a food processor and purée until completely smooth.

Return the mixture to the sauté pan over medium to high heat. Add the kirsch. Simmer until reduced to about 1/2 cup, 1 to 2 minutes.

Cut the peaches and pears in half and remove and discard the pits. Place the halves in a medium bowl.

In a small saucepan set over low heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together.

Coat the peaches and pears with the butter mixture.

Grill the peaches and pears over direct medium heat until grill marks are clearly visible and the peaches are soft, 10 to 12 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time.

While the peaches and pears are still warm, layer each serving glass with 1 peach half and 1 pear half half, 2 scoops ice cream, and 2 tablespoon cherry sauce. Tuck a cookie into each glass. Serve immediately. Or, wrap fruit in tin foil and top with ice cream and cherry sauce when ready. If needed, warm in oven 1 minute (the fruit, not the ice cream or sauce)

Makes 8 servings.

Reply:You could do a selection of dried fruit dipped in Chocolate

Fresh strawberries could also be used

I have used dried apricots, small bunches of grapes, cranberries, blueberries, and any other dried fruit would have to be prepared using a seive and bowl but it could be done. When I use dried apricots I only dip half of the peice and leave half showing for presentation
Reply:take strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries and mix them in a bowl with that canned sweetened milk over it. it's really good and easy to make.
