Fruit Ripening?

If you put unripe fruit next to ripe fruit, will the unripe fruit ripen faster? In a paper bag or on the counter both?

the fastest way is to put ripe bananas in a paper bag with your unripe fruit. the banana gives off a ripening gas that speeds things along.
Reply:Yes they give off a gas that ripens them faster. I n a paper bod would do the trick.
Reply:I think it's only bananas that make other fruits ripen faster.
Reply:It's not just bananas. Try it with an apple too. or a pineapple. or peaches. or mangoes. or any fruit that ripens.





If you have an unripe fruit and put it in a paper bag with a ripe fruit, REGARDLESS of what kind of fruit it is, then the unripe fruit will ripen quicker.
