Fruit cocktail cake?

I'm looking for an old recipe that my mom used to make. She called it fruit cocktail cake. It was very moist and, obviously, had fruit cockytail in it. It had an icing/glaze made out of butter, coconut and nuts. I would guess that she got it off a box or maybe the can of fruit cocktail. Does anyone remember it? Can I get the recipe? Thanks so much!
