I recently bought a dwarf north star cherry. I asked if I needed another cherry tree for it to bare fruit in which I was told no not necessarily because other fruit trees can be pollinating activators . I recently bought some peach trees? First is this true and second will my peach trees be enough to get my cherry to bare fruit.
Can different fruit trees be activators for other species of fruit trees?
Good luck!
North Star pie cherry is self-fruitful, thus no other tree is needed, but trees love company.
Reply:Peach won't pollinate cherry, but as has been said, you don't need a separate pollinator.
